Here’s where we’re at…
First off we want to thank everyone once again for your support of our successful Kickstarter campaign! We couldn’t have done it with out you!
Since the campaign ended we have been on a mission to find the perfect home for Moustache Brewing Co. However, there are lots of requirements and restrictions which have made our search difficult. For starters each town has specific restrictions, requirements, and permits that are needed. Additionally with the volume we plan to produce we know that it would be best for us to be on a sewer system and have street gas. Believe it or not these things have been tough to find all together in the perfect match.
In June we found what was a perfect building for us! However after many many months of trying to work out a lease agreement we discovered it was too good to be true and we were forced to walk away from the building.
But fear not! We decided to think outside of our original plans and be more flexible on some things and we’re back on the hunt.
Although we were pretty set on being in Nassau county we have discovered that the town of Riverhead has been extremely welcoming and accommodating to new businesses such as ours.
The other day I spoke with the Industrial Development Agency in Riverhead and I am blown away at how amazing they are! They are able to help us with a location and many other aspects of getting Moustache up and running!
This morning we checked out a building in Riverhead. It’s not our dream location, but it certainly has potential. We need to play with the floor plan and see how we could best lay it out and make it work for us. But we feel good about it.
